SALSA

We have been eating a lot of salsa lately. It's easy to make and my recipe makes quite a bit. After some trial and error, I think I have a pretty good recipe.
Here it is:

1 can of crushed tomatoes
1 can of original Rotel (drained)
3 medium size slicing tomatoes -or- 5 roma tomatoes
1/3 (more or less) of a small onion
1/2 tsp. minced garlic (we buy the kind in a jar)
Cilantro- I buy 1 bunch and use the leaves off of about 1/2 of the stems
1/2 tsp. of salt (more or less)

I put all of the ingredients in a food processor and run it until it is the consistency I like.

This could probably be made in a blender too.
Also, this recipe can easily be modified if you like your salsa more garlicky, less garlicky, saltier, etc.

To give you an idea of how much this makes, see the picture below...

Our Furry Baby

So Brendon and I don't have any kids yet- at least not a human kid :)

We do, however, have the most adorable doggie ever. He is a Morkie (a Maltese/Yorkie Mix).
We named him Bullet after the famous OSU horse.

I call him a puppy, but Brendon thinks a dog is no longer a puppy when he is over a year old. So we compromised. Here are some pictures of our doggie...

Those 3 pictures were taken the day after we got him :)

He was just a couple months old in these two...

But he could already sit on command! I know, he's a smart doggie!

Can you tell that Brendon is his favorite??

This what he looks like when he needs a haircut...

And this is what he looks like after he has gotten one :)

He loves his treats...

He loves the snow...

But most of all, he loves to sleep!

We love him so much. Maybe a little too much??

Hope everyone enjoys the pictures!

Just Starting Out

So thanks to my friend KJ, I have begun to learn all about blogging. She made it look so easy, that I thought "I can do that!"

I wanted to start this blog to share some of our everyday experiences with the family and friends that my husband and I don't have the opportunity to see very often.

It might take me awhile to figure all of this out, but it will be worth it.

I'm excited to get this thing started!
